Spiritual Sunday - Blessings

I count my blessings every day. I have many to thank God for and for that alone I am blessed.

In the past week, a friend lost his mother-in-law to Alzheimers (a disease that is close to dementia). She was also someone who was the mother of 2 friends who I grew up with. She was a teacher and one great person. Another friend from college lost his father. My condolences to the families of both!

Another blessing was L. Although you could royally piss me off (and I swear do it deliberately a lot of the time), you were a really good friend and we love and miss you......a huge Happy Birthday to you!

“May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.”

~Irish Blessing

“May your days be many and your troubles be few. May all God's blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you may your heart be strong. May you find what you're seeking wherever you roam.”

~Irish Blessing

“Prayers go up and blessings come down”

~Yiddish Proverb

"Let us not take for granted the bountiful blessings that our living and faithful Lord has been showering upon us – the air, the sunlight, our eyesight, our hands, our voice, our families, our health, our jobs, the talents that our Lord has blessed us with – and life itself. Let us, instead thank and praise and glorify our Lord for his constant love and faithfulness".
