1 week post surgery. Still on my rear. Saw the doc today and he removed the splint (I actually already had because I had the itchies like something horrible - didn't take off the dressing area near the ankle but cleaned the leg of the betadine and of the synthetic cotton they used to wrap the leg. I think the combo of the 2 gave me a rash but more likely the synthetic cotton). Hubs used our cotton and rewrapped the leg and it was a lot more comfortable.....that is until today.
Today I got the pink cast after x-rays and 2 doctors forcing my foot into a flat position rather than a toe pointing position. Here are a couple of pics of what my ankle looks like.
