The Perfect? Setting
There are times in one's life where life accidently throws you a perfect setting.
Imagine this:
Electricity goes out.
Candles get lit.
No one home but you and your lover, your husband of almost 29 years.
It's almost bedtime.
The CD player (using batteries) begins playing soft Italian love songs.
So to a woman that is the perfect setting, one that the couple has had little of in the past few weeks.
Let's listen in on the conversation:
Man: "There is nothing to do".
Woman: "Well, there is no one home. Candles are lit. I hear romantic music. I can think of a lot of things to do".
Man: "I am missing the Boston Legal".
Woman: "You can't think of anything else to do?"
While woman is waiting for the answer, the next thing she hears is:
Nope, not the whisper of sweet nothings in her ear.
Nope, not the pitter of feet coming to softly envelope her and hold her and lead her to the bedroom.
She hears snoring.
Yep, snoring. And men wonder why women read romance books.
(yes true story)
