Toronto - Part 1 Hotel

As you will see below the room we got was amazing. We didn't actually know how amazing until friends of ours checked in and we learned there are some definite advantages to being in a handicap room! Our room was twice the size of everyone else's (their rooms were 250 sq feet while ours was over 500 sq feet).

We stayed at The Fairmont Royal York which was very gorgeous and very very olde style English. I tried to take pictures but they just didn't do justice to the hotel's hand painted ceilings, the travertine pillars, the furnishings, the crystal chandeliers and the magnificent wall hangings. Queen Elizabeth II stays there and has an elevator devoted exclusively to her. This hotel has been featured in numerous movies. Plus it is complete with it's own replica of Big Ben. The people waiting on us were superb with the exception of housekeeping. But you all know how picky I am and we used a full can of Lysol to decontaminate the room.

Here are a few pictures of our room and the clock in the main lobby.
