Recipe Tuesday - Easy Turkey Tetrazzini


Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Butter or Margarine
1/4 Cup Chopped Onion
1/3 Cup Chopped Green Pepper
1 Tablespoon Flour
2 1/2 Cups Milnot or Evaporated Milk
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1-2 Cups Chopped Cooked Turkey (or Chicken)
1 Can (4 oz.) Mushrooms
1 Cup Cooked Peas (drained)
1/4 Cup Chopped Pimientos
8 Oz. Spaghetti – Cooked and Drained


1) Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees
2) Grease 2 quart casserole dish
3) Saute onion and pepper in butter until tender
4) Blend in flour and evaporated milk
5) Cook stirring constantly until smooth
6) Add Salt, 1/4 cup of shredded cheese, turkey, mushrooms, peas and pimiento
7) In 2 quart casserole dish, alternate layers of sauce with cooked spaghetti
8) Sprinkle with remaining cheese
9) Bake for 20 minutes


*Note: You can also add a capful of cooking sherry to the sauce for more zing
